Matthew Yates Memorial Scholarship

Deputy Matthew Yates was a dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a member of the Clark County Sheriff's Department who tragically lost his life in service to his community. Matthew and his wife, Tracy, both graduated from Clark State's Peace Officer Academy. Deputy Yates was an incredibly positive force in the Springfield community and is deeply missed by all who knew him. This scholarship has been established to honor his memory and will support Clark State College students pursuing a careers in law enforcement or mental heath in the local region.
