Clark State offers workshops and events both in-person and online to help you understand common challenges and learn how to overcome them with various skills and resources.

Clark State works to provide you on-demand services without the need of an appointment. Drop-in services are provided on a first-come-first-served basis and wait times will vary. Services are currently only offered at the Beavercreek (Greene Center) and Springfield (Leffel) locations. Use the contact information provided by each service to check if there are any interruptions of services if you want to ensure someone is present.

Counseling Services
The Counseling Center services are free, professional, and confidential (except in cases of a life-threatening situation). Licensed mental health counselors and a Peer Recovery Support Specialist are available to help cope with stress, overcome barriers, and make referrals to community resources.

Clark State partners with the community to stock a food pantry on campus with shelf stable products and school supplies. Mobile food banks also visit our locations to provide food packages to community members.

Tutor.com - 24/7 Online Tutoring, Writing, and Academic Support
Clark State students have access to online professional tutors 24 hours a day, every day, through Tutor.com. You can drop in to find an available tutor or schedule a session in advance. They also have a video library of lessons, customized study plans, online flashcards you can create and use, and career assessments to help you determine your major and intended career. You can also upload written assignments to have a writing specialist review your work and provide feedback. Click here for instructions.

Students must use Blackboard to access Tutor.com by selecting the Tools tab in their course site to be redirected to the provider's site.

In-Person Tutoring on Campus

Drop-in Tutoring is only available for certain courses at specific times and locations. Tutors support all students who drop-in and will have to divide their time among all visitors. 24/7 online support is available through TutorMe or Brainfuse. Open Blackboard and select the Tools tab to find these on-demand online Tutoring services.

Brainfuse - Online Tutoring by Chat
Clark State students have access to online professional Tutors 24 hours a day, every day, through Brainfuse. Brainfuse allows students to speak to an expert in their subjects via text chat or audio. They also have a video library of lessons, customized study plans, online flashcards you can create and use, and career assessments to help you determine your major and intended career. Brainfuse is a credit-based system, so if you receive a warning that you have run out of credits, please contact retention@clarkstate.edu.

In-Person Tutoring
Students can drop-in during the listed hours to meet in-person with a Tutor. Note that Tutors work with all visitors and must divide their time and attention to every student. Tutors cannot work on actual homework questions in order to maintain academic integrity, but they will create similar sample problems to help you practice. Additionally, Tutors are not instructors. For more direct one-on-one support, please schedule a time to meet with your instructor outside of class.

Basic Computer Skills
Drop-in and get help learning how to utilize the technology needed to be successful at Clark State and beyond! You are encouraged to bring your own computer devices but we will have computers available for you as well. Learn more >>
